The choir's repertoire includes compositions from various periods and always is reflective of the scripture readings. This season the choir will present motets by Palestrina, Bryd, Bach, along with contemporary anthems by John Rutter, Robert Lau, and Richard Weidner. New works for the choir are commissioned periodically.

Community is fostered by using singers and instrumentalists with various degrees of musical training from within the congregation in this ensemble.  In other words - we seek to be inclusive, not exclusive. The choir is noted for its enthusiasm, dedication, and love for the Church.  The group continues throughout the year without a summer hiatus.

By choosing hymns with musical and theological integrity we encourage congregational singing.

St. Thomas More Church maintains a distinguished music program which includes both liturgies and concerts.  Christopher Candela, our Director of Music, building on the excellent legacy of previous directors Harvey Burgett, Dennis Crowley and James Palsgrove, now oversees a program of more than 400 liturgies with music annually.
